About Teacher
Rachel is an experienced Primary and EAL teacher with international teaching experience in Singapore and the United States. She has taught across the primary years, including bilingual and inquiry-based programmes, and is experienced in supporting multilingual learners through differentiated and student-centred approaches.
Before joining The Perse School (Singapore), Rachel worked at One World International School, where she taught English in a bilingual programme and later became an EAL Teacher supporting students from Grades 1 to 5. She has also taught Mathematics and Science in primary schools in Houston, Texas, and holds an IB PYP certificate in Making the PYP Happen – Implementing Agency.
Rachel holds a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Houston, as well as degrees in Music and English with Psychology. Fluent in Mandarin and conversant in Hokkien and Cantonese, Rachel is passionate about creating inclusive learning environments that celebrate cultural diversity and help students develop confidence in their learning.
