About Teacher
Bella is an experienced Mandarin teacher with an international background, having taught in the Netherlands, the United Kingdom and China. She has worked with students from early years through to secondary school, delivering engaging lessons that support language acquisition, cultural understanding and student confidence.
Before joining The Perse School (Singapore), Bella taught at the Confucius Institute at Zuyd University in the Netherlands, where she delivered differentiated Mandarin lessons for learners of different ages and proficiency levels. She has also taught Mandarin at Tapton Secondary School in the UK and English at Haijia International Bilingual School in China, gaining extensive experience in bilingual and multicultural education.
Bella holds a Master of Arts in Education from the University of Sheffield, and the Certificate for Teachers of Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages( CTCSOL). She is passionate about creating inclusive and engaging learning environments that inspire students to develop a love for the Chinese language and culture.
