About Teacher

Tricia is a qualified primary teacher with experience across a range of age groups at The Perse School (Singapore). Having taught across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, she is experienced in delivering engaging, high-quality lessons that prioritise students’ learning, wellbeing and creativity. She is passionate about creating positive and inclusive learning environments where students feel supported to develop confidence, curiosity and independence.

Tricia holds an International Qualified Teacher Status (iQTS) and Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) from the University of Derby. She also holds a TESOL Certificate and has a background in Intercultural Studies from Columbia Bible College in Canada. Her previous experience includes teaching English as a Second Language in The Japanese School in Singapore, as well as teaching dance and drama to third-culture children in Thailand and volunteering with international teams to teach English and engage with children and youth.

With her background in ESL teaching and experience working within an international school community, Tricia places a strong value on language acquisition and ensuring meaningful access to learning for EAL learners. She enjoys using creative, interactive and student-centred approaches to help children make connections between their learning and the wider world.

Tricia is committed to nurturing the whole child and believes that every student should be given the opportunity to develop their voice, creativity and confidence as learners.
