About Teacher
Melissa is a creative and dedicated primary educator with extensive experience teaching across UK and international schools. She specialises in Art education and is passionate about nurturing students’ creativity, critical thinking, and confidence through hands-on, inquiry-based learning.
Previously, Melissa taught Years 1–6 at the Modern English School Cairo, where she leads the Primary Art curriculum, develops engaging cross-curricular projects, and coordinates whole-school art exhibitions. She has also taught English, Maths, Science, and History, supporting students with EAL and additional learning needs. Melissa is skilled in curriculum planning, assessment, and designing educational content, both for classroom instruction and digital learning platforms.
Beyond the classroom, she ran after-school art and craft workshops, coordinates art competitions, and contributes to staff CPD by guiding teachers on integrating Art into wider lessons. Melissa holds a BA (Hons) in Primary Education with QTS, specialising in Art, and brings a wealth of experience combining teaching, creativity, and educational leadership.
