Jesusa Mercado

Jesusa is an experienced secondary educator with a passion for creating inclusive, engaging learning environments where every student feels supported to succeed. With nearly a decade of teaching experience in Australia, she has specialised in Technology while also holding leadership roles in curriculum development, pastoral care, and student wellbeing.

Committed to meeting the diverse needs of learners, Jesusa is currently furthering her expertise through postgraduate studies in Special and Inclusive Education, Educational Leadership, and International Education. She believes in a learner-centred approach that combines high expectations with thoughtful differentiation, enabling students to develop confidence, curiosity, and resilience. Alongside her classroom teaching, Jesusa has mentored colleagues, led professional learning in inclusive teaching practices, and worked closely with learning support teams to ensure every student can thrive. She is passionate about building positive relationships with students and families and fostering a school community where everyone feels known, valued, and inspired to achieve their best.
