About Teacher
Amar Sidhu is a Mathematics teacher with experience teaching across a wide range of year groups, from Year 7 through to A-Level. He holds a First Class Honours degree in Mathematics from the University of Manchester, along with a Postgraduate Certificate in Teaching in Secondary Schools and QTS from Canterbury Christ Church University.
He began his teaching career on the UK Teach First Training Programme at Cowplain Community School, where he worked with pupils in a disadvantaged community, inspiring students to develop a positive outlook towards mathematics and encouraging them to progress to higher ability sets. During the past three years He also Amar has taught at one of UK’s leading independent schools Wycombe Abbey, delivering engaging and challenging mathematics lessons that cater to varied learning needs from year 7 to 13 A-Level.
Beyond the classroom, Amar has been actively involved as an NCS Team Mentor, helping young people build confidence, leadership, and teamwork skills through social action projects and activities.
