About Teacher
Alexandra is the Head of Pelican at The Perse School (Singapore), leading the school’s youngest learners with warmth, expertise and a deep commitment to early primary education. With over a decade of teaching experience across diverse, multicultural settings, she holds a PGCE with QTS from the University of Derby and an LLB (Hons) in Law with Criminology from Staffordshire University. Alexandra is passionate about creating a nurturing and engaging learning environment where every child feels confident, supported and inspired to thrive.
Her expertise includes supporting EAL learners, managing behavioural needs, and working with pupils from disadvantaged backgrounds. She has led KS1 teams, implemented the Little Wandle phonics scheme, and overseen curriculum planning aligned with the National Curriculum, achieving measurable improvements in student outcomes. Alexandra is committed to professional growth and has undertaken advanced training in SEND, EAL, and mastery maths teaching, as well as mentoring trainee teachers.
