About Teacher
Akbar is a dedicated educator with experience supporting students with diverse learning needs through personalised, inclusive, and differentiated teaching approaches. Previously a Lead Special Education Teacher at Saint Clare School for Special Education, he developed individualised education plans (IEPs), designed differentiated learning experiences, and collaborated with families and multidisciplinary teams to support students’ academic, social, and personal development.
Akbar holds a Bachelor of Arts in Guidance and Counselling from Northumbria University Newcastle, a Master’s in Special and Inclusive Education from the University of Newcastle, and a CELTA qualification. He is passionate about creating supportive learning environments that empower students to build confidence, independence, and a lifelong love of learning. He also has a particular interest in supporting students who are learning English as an additional language (EAL).
