About Teacher
Aimee is an experienced counsellor specialising in supporting children and adolescents with their social and emotional wellbeing. She is passionate about creating a safe, inclusive and supportive environment where students feel heard, understood and empowered to develop emotional awareness, resilience and positive relationships.
Before joining The Perse School (Singapore), Aimee worked as a Counsellor at The Other Clinic in Singapore, providing individualised support to children and young people aged six and above. She has experience supporting students with a range of social-emotional needs, including anxiety, emotional regulation, neurodiversity and challenges with relationships and school engagement.
Aimee holds a Master of Counselling from Monash University, Australia, and a Bachelor of Commerce in Human Resource Management and Industrial Psychology from Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University, South Africa. She is a Provisional Clinical Member of the Singapore Association for Counselling and has completed additional training in child protection, executive functioning skills, youth development and emotional regulation approaches.
Aimee believes in working collaboratively with students, families and educators to support each child’s individual journey and help them build the skills and confidence to thrive both in and beyond the classroom.
