We are seeking a dynamic and adaptable Teacher of English to join our expanding Senior School in August 2026. You will be responsible for teaching English across upper primary and/or senior levels, developing students’ literacy, critical thinking, and communication skills, while inspiring a lifelong love of reading, writing. and literature. This role demands a passion for English, strong classroom management, and the ability to deliver creative, engaging lessons in a diverse, multicultural environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement effective English curriculum and lesson plans aligned with the Cambridge curriculum.
- Deliver engaging English lessons that promote reading, writing, speaking, and comprehension skills.
- Differentiate instruction to support students of varying abilities, including English as an Additional Language (EAL) learners.
- Foster critical and creative thinking through literature, drama, and writing activities.
- Assess, monitor, and report on student progress, providing constructive feedback.
- Maintain a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment.
- Communicate effectively with parents, colleagues, and school leaders on student development.
- Contribute to extracurricular and cultural activities, such as debate, drama, or creative writing clubs.
- Stay updated on new teaching methodologies and educational technologies.

Essential Qualifications & Experience:
- Minimum two (2) years of teaching experience within an international school environment.
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education, together with a recognised professional teaching qualification (e.g., PGDE, PGCE, PGCEi, NIE Diploma) or a valid Teacher Licence / QTS.
- Strong knowledge and experience in delivering the Cambridge curriculum.
- Demonstrated ability to plan and deliver inquiry-based and concept-driven learning effectively.
- Experience working with EAL learners, with the ability to incorporate strategies that support academic language acquisition
- Proven capability in curriculum development, including experience in developing curriculum frameworks and/or leading a team.
