The Bullpen Returns with Bold Ideas
This week, The Perse School (Singapore) proudly hosted its flagship Year 6 entrepreneurship showcase, The Bullpen, which saw students step confidently into the world of business innovation and enterprise.
Inspired by the fast-paced energy of Shark Tank, The Bullpen challenged students to work in teams to develop and pitch original business ideas to a panel of judges. From identifying real-world problems to designing creative and practical solutions, students demonstrated impressive initiative, research skills, and entrepreneurial thinking throughout the process.
The showcase highlighted far more than business acumen. As students presented their ideas with confidence and professionalism, they also developed essential lifelong skills including communication, teamwork, critical thinking, and resilience. Each pitch reflected not only creativity and ambition, but also the courage to take ownership of an idea and present it persuasively to an audience.
The atmosphere throughout the event was one of excitement, encouragement, and innovation, with students embracing the challenge and supporting one another as young entrepreneurs. The panel of judges, which included our Co-CEO Anip Sharma and parents of The Perse, was impressed by the originality of the ideas, the depth of thought behind each proposal, and the confidence students displayed under pressure.
A much-anticipated highlight of the school year, The Bullpen continues to embody The Perse School (Singapore)’s commitment to nurturing curiosity, creativity, and student voice. Events like these provide meaningful opportunities for students to apply their learning in authentic contexts while developing the confidence to think boldly and solve problems collaboratively.
Congratulations to this year’s winning teams — Atlas Dining (Izzy, Immy, Amie, Charity, and Emma), Style Pets (Olivia, Lora, Rumaisa, Pauline, and Isla), and Highlights (Christian, Yuna, Naohiro, Adam, and Candy) — for their outstanding ideas and presentations. A huge congratulations also go to all Year 6 students for their hard work, determination, and creativity throughout the competition. We can’t wait for our students to amaze us with more innovative and ground-breaking ideas!
