Perse student Rita celebrates success at National Artistic Swimming Championships

A young Perse student has achieved recognition on the national stage after representing The Perse School (Singapore) at one of Singapore’s leading school artistic swimming competitions.
Rita competed in the 14th SAQ National Schools Artistic Swimming Championships, held on 11–12 April 2026 at Our Tampines Hub and organised by Singapore Aquatics. Taking part in the Open Junior Division (Solo), Rita delivered an impressive performance and was awarded a Certificate of Achievement, achieving a score of 64.2875.
Artistic swimming is a sport that demands a unique combination of athletic ability and artistry. Competitors must demonstrate strength, flexibility, endurance and precise control, while performing complex routines that require countless hours of training and dedication. Rita’s achievement reflects the commitment and perseverance she has shown in developing her skills and pursuing her passion for the sport.
For Rita, the competition was also a proud opportunity to represent The Perse School (Singapore). Her father, Roy, shared how much the experience meant to her:
“She is also very proud to represent TPSS in the competition. She will continue to work hard and strive to bring more honour to the school.”
At The Perse School (Singapore), we celebrate pupils who embrace challenges, pursue their passions and represent our community with pride. Rita’s accomplishment is a wonderful example of the determination, resilience and dedication that our students demonstrate both inside and outside the classroom.
Congratulations to Rita on this fantastic achievement. We look forward to following her continued journey in artistic swimming.
