Mid-Autumn Celebrations at The Perse
Last week, our students celebrated creativity and culture in a truly special way as part of our Mid-Autumn Festival festivities.

Under the guidance of Ms Reiko, and with the wonderful support of our Japanese parent volunteers, students took part in a Juugoya session, learning how to make Japanese rice dumplings (tsukimi dango), a traditional treat enjoyed during Tsukimi, Japanโs moon-viewing festival. It was a delightful, hands-on experience that brought together culture, community, and creativity in the most delicious way.

Meanwhile, Ms Stella shared the Mid-Autumn traditions of the Chinese community, helping students discover how this festival of reunion and gratitude is celebrated across cultures. Our Pelican bilingual learners also took to the stage with a heartfelt Mandarin poem performance, a wonderful showcase of language, confidence, and artistry.

And of course, no Mid-Autumn celebration would be complete without mooncakes. All students had the chance to make and decorate their own, ending the week on a sweet and festive note.
Wishing our Perse community a very Happy Mid-Autumn Festival โ may your celebrations be filled with light, joy, and togetherness. ๐๐
