Celebrating Cultures and Diversity at the Inaugural PTA International Day
On Saturday, 16th May 2026, families, students, and staff came together for the Inaugural PTA International Day at The Perse School (Singapore) to celebrate the rich diversity of our school community.
Organised by the Parent Teacher Association (PTA) of The Perse, the event transformed the school campus into a vibrant showcase of cultures, traditions, and community spirit. Families explored stalls representing nations from around the world, including the United Kingdom, Germany, Greece, Nigeria, South Korea, India, Nepal, Indonesia, Taiwan, Ukraine, Japan, South Africa, Italy, Singapore, Thailand, Mexico, Sweden, Australia, China, and Wales.

Located across the Multi-Purpose Hall and Art Rooms, the stalls offered visitors the opportunity to experience international cultures through food, activities, games, and displays. Children also enjoyed taking part in the PTA Passport activity, which required them to collect stamps from different country booths. Those who collected all of the stamps received a special prize!
The day officially began with a Welcome and Flag Parade, followed by a lively lineup of performances throughout the afternoon. Families were treated to a wide range of cultural showcases, including Indonesian, Indian, and Irish dances, Japanese and Korean performances, and presentations from countries such as Nepal, Ukraine, Nigeria, Myanmar, and Thailand. Student performances and a Senior School Choir performance added to the festive atmosphere.
Beyond the cultural celebrations, the event also featured family-friendly activities such as bouncy castles, obstacle courses, and the ever-popular Dunk Tank, where students had the chance to dunk their favourite teachers!
The PTA International Day also welcomed several event partners who contributed to the community event experience. Special thanks to Healthway Medical, Mind-Body Chiropractic, RedMan, Expat Dental, Le Petit Depot by RedMan, Tentage, Butcher Box, and Asian Tigers Group.
The event was a remarkable reflection of The Perse School (Singapore)’s diversity and inclusivity. It brought families together through culture, friendship, and shared experiences. A huge thank you to our PTA, amazing parent volunteers, talented performers, and supportive school community for making the inaugural PTA International Day such a memorable occasion!
