She regularly rehearses and leads school ensembles, preparing students for concerts, camps, and performances. Alongside her teaching role, Sophia serves as an Assistant Year Coordinator, providing pastoral care and supporting the wellbeing and holistic development of a large student cohort.
Sophia has extensive experience across a wide range of music curricula and pedagogies, including HSC, AMEB, ABRSM, Suzuki, Kodály, Orff, and IB-aligned approaches. Her professional experience also includes curriculum leadership in international contexts, having led music theory and aural programmes in Shanghai, as well as working as an accompanist, adjudicator, and private piano tutor.
A skilled multi-instrumentalist and accompanist, Sophia integrates technology into her teaching using digital composition and notation tools to enhance student learning. She brings a global perspective to her work, valuing collaboration, inclusion, and strong teacher–student relationships.
