About Teacher
Shahirah Saharan (Sasha) is an experienced Teaching Assistant with over 10 years of experience supporting students in international and special needs school settings. She has worked with children aged 4 to 16 and is committed to nurturing students’ academic, social, and emotional development in inclusive and supportive learning environments.
Sasha works closely with teachers to support classroom learning, small-group activities, and individualised support, including for students with additional learning needs and those developing their English language skills. She is passionate about helping students build confidence, independence, and positive learning habits.
In addition to her classroom role, Sasha has experience leading literacy initiatives and managing school library resources. She enjoys fostering a love of reading and creativity through engaging activities and collaborative projects.
Sasha values strong relationships with students, colleagues, and families, and believes that a calm, caring, and consistent approach helps every child feel supported and ready to learn.
