About Teacher
Melanie has over 20 years of teaching and leadership experience in the UK and international schools, specialising in English and mathematics. She was previously teaching Year 4 at a British international school in Montenegro, where she delivers the Cambridge Curriculum to a multilingual class.
Melanie has held roles including Acting Head, Depute Head, SENCO and Subject Leader, giving her a deep understanding of curriculum design, pastoral care and inclusive teaching. She is experienced in supporting EAL learners, creating structured yet creative classrooms, and encouraging pupils to think critically, solve problems and write for real audiences. She is excited to bring her adaptability, warmth and high expectations to The Perse School (Singapore)’s Junior School.
