
About Teacher
Kathryn is a highly experienced and passionate educator with over 33 years of international teaching expertise, specialising in English, EAL, and Home Languages across IB Diploma, IGCSE, and MYP programmes. She has held key leadership roles, including Head of Languages and Home Language Coordinator, mentoring diverse teaching teams and developing curriculum for Grades 7–12. Kathryn is an IBDP examiner and workshop leader, known for her student-centered approach, especially in language acquisition and pastoral care.
Her background includes designing and implementing curriculum tailored to multilingual learners, training mainstream teachers in EAL strategies, and fostering school-wide inclusion. Beyond the classroom, she actively leads service initiatives and co-curricular activities, from student magazines to sustainability and service expeditions.
She holds an MA in Applied Linguistics, an MEd in Special Education, and various specialist certifications, including in educational technologies and trauma-informed practice. Fluent in French and proficient in Japanese, Kathryn continues to pursue innovation in education and remains dedicated to empowering learners in diverse, inclusive settings.
