About Teacher

Joann is a dedicated educator with over a decade of experience supporting students across a range of international schools in Singapore. At The Perse, she brings a calm, nurturing presence to the classroom, working closely with learners to build their confidence and help them thrive both academically and socially.

She has previously worked at Nexus International School, where she delivered targeted support in Maths and English, including small-group intervention programmes. As part of her postgraduate training in education, she planned, and taught lessons designed to meet the needs of all learners. Her earlier roles at Dulwich College Singapore, Singapore American School, and Chiltern House saw her supporting classroom learning, leading guided reading sessions, and running fun co-curricular activities like cooking.

Before moving into education, Joann trained and worked as a registered nurse. She brings this background in care and wellbeing into the classroom, creating safe, supportive spaces where every child feels seen and encouraged.

Joann is passionate about inclusive education and values strong communication and teamwork. Her broad experience and gentle approach make her a valued member of our teaching team.
