About Teacher

Iona is a dedicated and reflective primary teacher who is passionate about creating inclusive, supportive, and engaging learning environments where every child feels valued. She has experience teaching across KS1 and KS2 and is committed to meeting the diverse needs of learners, including students with additional needs and those learning English as an additional language.

Iona began her teaching journey at Dover Court International School, where she worked closely with students requiring additional support, led small intervention groups, and developed individualised learning goals. She integrates inquiry-based learning approaches to encourage curiosity, critical thinking, and active student engagement across the curriculum.

Previously teaching Year 3 at Invictus International School (Dempsey), Iona also served as a Teacher House Captain and Event Coordinator. In these roles, she works closely with the student council, staff, and the PTA to plan and deliver meaningful school events that strengthen community connections. She holds a Master of Education in Inclusive Education from the University of Glasgow and is committed to continuous professional development to further enhance her teaching practice.
