Ashwini Jason

Ashwini is a passionate and creative educator with extensive experience across early childhood and primary education settings in Singapore. She is deeply committed to nurturing confident, curious learners through inclusive, student-centred, and play-based approaches to teaching and learning.

Previously as an English Teacher with the British Council, Ashwini designs engaging lessons that combine storytelling, phonics, and digital tools to build strong language foundations. Her work has consistently enhanced student engagement, literacy development, and positive classroom behaviour. She is particularly skilled in adapting learning experiences to meet the needs of diverse learners and supporting children’s social-emotional growth.

Ashwini has a strong background in early childhood education, having previously worked as a Co-Early Childhood Educator at Nurtured Nest and an Early Childhood Educator at PCF Sparkletots. She led the award-winning Playful Learners Movement, a play-based initiative recognised for creativity and innovation, and is known for creating nurturing environments that celebrate diversity, culture, and creativity.

Alongside her teaching career, Ashwini works as a freelance writer and tutor, combining her love for language with her educational expertise. She brings strong communication skills, creativity, and a reflective approach to her practice, and actively engages in professional development to continually enhance her teaching.

Ashwini holds a Diploma in Early Childhood Education (Teaching & Leadership) from Ngee Ann Polytechnic and a Teaching Young Learners Extension Certificate from Trinity College London.
