About Teacher
Adrián is a dedicated Physical and Health Education teacher with over six years of international experience in schools across Spain and the Netherlands. He brings a passion for movement, health, and wellbeing to every class, crafting energetic and inclusive learning environments where students are inspired to grow physically, socially, and emotionally.
Adrián holds a Master’s Degree in Teacher Training for Secondary Education from Barcelona University and a Degree in Physical Activity and Sport Sciences from Lleida University. His professional development includes multiple IB workshops and sport coaching certifications, strengthening his ability to deliver inquiry‑based and student‑centred lessons that promote lifelong physical literacy.
Throughout his career, Adrián has worked across a range of age groups, implementing curriculum frameworks, mentoring students, and leading school sports programs. At the European School of The Hague, he coordinated and coached team sports, organised department activities, and supported students’ wellbeing and holistic development. Previously, he served as a Teaching Assistant and Coach at the American School of The Hague and worked extensively as a swimming instructor and fitness trainer with the Catalan Swimming Federation.
Adrián’s teaching philosophy centres on inclusion, student agency, and building confidence through movement and teamwork. Outside the classroom, he enjoys designing fitness programmes, coaching teams, and contributing to school community events.
