Leading with Gratitude
At The Perse School Singapore, we believe that leadership begins with empathy—and our Year 6 students demonstrated exactly that during a special assembly to mark Labour Day.
Taking the lead with confidence and heart, they paid tribute to the many individuals who work tirelessly behind the scenes to keep our school running smoothly. From cleaners and maintenance crews to support staff, these essential team members are often unseen, but their contributions are felt every day.
Through heartfelt speeches and a creative skit, our Year 6 pupils reminded us of the importance of showing gratitude and recognising every role within our community. Their thoughtful presentation highlighted not only their communication and leadership skills, but also their deep understanding of respect, kindness, and inclusivity—core values that lie at the heart of The Perse philosophy.
Events like these are more than just performances; they are opportunities for students to reflect on the world around them and to grow as compassionate, aware individuals. We are incredibly proud of our Year 6 cohort for leading with such sincerity and thoughtfulness.
As we celebrate Labour Day, we extend our warmest thanks to all the dedicated individuals who support our school in countless ways. Your work does not go unnoticed, and we are grateful for all that you do.
