The Perse School Singapore Zoo Excursion Year 2

A Wild Adventure at the Singapore Zoo

At The Perse School Singapore, we believe that some of the most impactful learning happens beyond the classroom walls. Our recent Year 2 visit to the zoo brought this to life, offering students a day of exploration, discovery, and meaningful connections with the natural world.

From spotting playful monkeys to observing majestic elephants, lions, zebras, rhinos, seals, and meerkats, students journeyed through the wonders of the animal kingdom. Every encounter sparked questions, curiosity, and awe as they navigated the zoo’s many exhibits—each one bringing to life concepts they’ve been learning in school.

The experience was further enriched by two interactive shows—Wet & Wild and Into the Wild—which gave students deeper insight into animal behaviours, habitats, and the vital role of conservation. A scenic tram ride around the zoo wrapped up the day, offering a moment to reflect on all they had seen and learned.

Excursions like these are a core part of our approach at The Perse, where we aim to nurture curiosity, encourage exploration, and foster a deep appreciation for the world around us. They allow students to connect academic learning with real-world experiences, helping them grow as informed, empathetic, and engaged global citizens.

It was a truly unforgettable day—one that reminded us of all the power of experiential learning and the joy of discovering the world, one adventure at a time.
