The Perse School (Singapore) Grand Opening
Last week marked a proud milestone for our community as we officially opened The Perse School (Singapore) with a celebration to remember.
We welcomed The honourable Ms. Sim Ann, Senior Minister of State for Foreign Affairs and Home Affairs, and His Excellency Mr. Nik Mehta, British High Commissioner to Singapore, who inaugurated our school with the sealing of a special time capsule. We were also grateful to have His Excellency Anders Sjöberg, Swedish Ambassador to Singapore, and His Excellency Hiroshi Ishikawa, Japanese Ambassador to Singapore, join us for this significant occasion.

The day was enriched by a student-led panel discussion featuring leaders from The Perse community:
- Mr. Ed Elliott, Head of The Perse School Cambridge
- Mr. Stephen Roberts, Chair of The Perse School Cambridge
- Ms. Lynne Oldfield, Principal, The Perse School (Singapore)
- Mr. Anip Sharma & Mr. Johan Strömsäter, Founders of The Perse School (Singapore)

A special thank you goes to our Head of Primary, Ms. Kephren Sherry, whose thoughtful emceeing guided the programme with warmth and energy.

In the evening, our Perse families and the community cozied up on our Astroturf pitch for our silent cinema experience. With headphones on and snacks in hand, they enjoyed a film together while supporting a meaningful cause. We are pleased to share that any surplus from the night will be donated to the Singapore Children’s Society.
We are deeply grateful to our distinguished guests, students, families, and partners for joining us in marking this important chapter. Your presence and support made the day truly memorable, and we look forward to many more moments of learning and celebration together.
