About Teacher
Mengyang is a dedicated Chinese Language and Early Years educator with extensive experience teaching students from K–6 in international settings. She was previously a Chinese Homeroom and Language Teacher at Canadian International School, delivering engaging, interactive lessons that foster a love for Mandarin while supporting language development for learners of varying proficiency levels.
Mengyang’s teaching approach combines play-based, inquiry-led learning with storytelling, role-playing, and interactive activities to create inclusive, motivating, and culturally responsive classrooms. She has also previously worked as an Instructional Assistant Teacher and at Inno Montessori Preschool, developing age-appropriate programs, preparing teaching aids, and maintaining safe, stimulating learning environments.
Mengyang holds a Master in Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages from Jinan University, a Degree in Early Childhood Education from Chang Chun Normal University, and has studied Korean language and Food Science. Her professional development includes Putonghua Proficiency Test Level 2 (Grade A), PYP Early Years training, and workshops on bilingual and multilingual learning.
